This dramatic hotel is designed as a glass cube held in a shining blue disc. It is to be seen as a destination and feature on entrance into the city. The 400 guestrooms are arranged in a simple efficient plan with executive rooms occupying the curved facades. They enjoy great views, as does the roof top pool. The public areas are provided in a 13 m high volume with flying bridges, a suspended wine room and a curved glass wall opening on the gardens. Architectural competition success.
