At the beginning of the repertory season 2009/2010 Oliver Reese took over the management of Schauspiel Frankfurt.
Since then, 34 actresses and actors make up the permanent ensemble. Renowned stage directors such as Michael Thalheimer, Andreas Kriegenburg and Stephan Kimmig produce at four theatres: Schauspielhaus, Kammerspiele, Box and Bockenheimer Depot. Planned for the first season are around 30 premieres and 8 reruns. On the bill in addition to classical productions are also many premieres, projects and programmes for children and teenagers.
The producer Andrea Breth recently created her “Call for enthusiasm for knowledge, questioning the unusual” as fundamental requirement for the theatre – a philosophy that Schauspiel Frankfurt plans to honour with each performance every evening.
