The Ensemble Interface was founded in 2009 by former musicians of the "Internationale Ensemble Modern Akademie" of Frankfurt. The ensemble is dedicated to interpreting and developing contemporary classical music, and actively encourages a close cooperation with living composers of their own generation. Many contemporary works were written specially for the ensemble. This young ensemble sets itself apart through its special concert programmes, unusual performance venues, and regular education projects.
