100 Best Posters is an annual international poster competition for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Originating in the mid-sixties in the GDR and conducted Germany-wide with increasing success since 1990, the competition has been under the new patronage of the association 100 Beste Plakate eV since 2001. With the extension of the competition to the German language poster, a move in line with the European concept, a keynote is now on entries from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Participants: graphic designers, design offices, advertising agencies and their clients and printers, particularly from the newly integrated countries with works from the preceding year.
Award: entries that reach the category 100 best posters take part in a touring exhibition and appear in the publication “100 best posters”.
