The “College of Music and Dramatic Arts Frankfurt am Main” is one of Germany’s largest music colleges and the only one of its kind in the State of Hessen.
Presently around 850 students are instructed by ca. 400 teachers. As of summer semester 2001 the new college structure is as follows:
- Faculty 1 with the instruction fields instrument training and conducting, instrumental and singing pedagogics and church music.
- Faculty 2 with the instruction fields composition and teaching.
- Faculty 3 the dramatic arts with the instruction fields music theatre, drama, scene and contemporary and classic dancing.
Special Courses of Study:
- further instruction in jazz and popular music
- international ensemble modern academy – master study course
- within the scope of the study and production cooperation “Hessen Theatre Academy”: direction, theatre and orchestra management, theatre/music theatre and dancing critics.
