Poetry Slam Frankfurt

The Poetry Slam Frankfurt is an open stage competition for literary short texts, in which the audience awards points for text and presentation and chooses a winner. Anyone who registers in time can take part. After first attempts in 1996 at the Club Voltaire, the Poetry Slam established itself in 1998 as a monthly event at the Cafe of the FH Frankfurt, moderated by Dirk Hülstrunk and Jürgen Klumpe. In addition to the regular monthly poetry slams, there are numerous specials with national and international guests and special events such as the Jazz Poetry Slam, Open Air Poetry Slams (e.g. at the Museumsuferest), the Book Fair Slam in the Reading Tent, Poetry Slams in various museums and other locations. Since 2007, there has been an annual U20 poetry slam for young people at the Mousonturm, as well as poetry slam workshops.

Location: Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, Café 1
Date: Every 2nd Friday of the month (summer break, during which open air events take place).
