The Federal Association of Communal Film Work publishes the magazine Kinema Kommunal. It is distributed free of charge to members. Each issue contains current information for film work in communal cinemas. New films of distributors are also presented, as well as information on festivals and competitions.
Furthermore Kinema Kommunal also publishes a comprehensive editorial section with thematic and quality texts on aesthetic film aspects and the history of the film (genres, directors). Last but not least, film politics also plays a central role. The film-political positions of associations and politics are discussed, as are changes in film criticism and the cinema scene.
