The Police Choir Frankfurt am Main has existed since 1931 and is a registered society with more than 700 members. The 90-strong Male Choir is conducted by Dr Paulus Christmann. With a broad repertoire ranging from opera and operetta, church service accompaniment and church literature through to traditional melodies, oldies, musicals and spirituals, the Choir promotes the police organization.
Further groups of the Police Choir are the Women’s Choir (conductor Damian Sigmund), the “Blue Light Singers” (light music) and the “Prussians” (in historical uniforms).
The Police Choir sings in the major concert halls of Frankfurt and other German cities, as well as abroad, e.g. in the USA, Brazil, China, Egypt, Australia and Mexico.
