Frankfurter Konzertchor e.V.

 

The Frankfurter Konzertchor e.V. was founded 1969. It is composed of singers from all occupations and age groups. The choir community arranges first-class works of music literature from all epochs, from the Late Middle Ages to modern. Focus is on ecclesiastical music. Under the direction of its conductor Siegfried Heinrich the Choir has recently performed in Germany and abroad. Particularly close contacts have prevailed for many years to eastern Europe. The Choir frequently works with the Bach Orchestra Prague, the Radio Symphony Orchestra Kattowitz and Warsaw and the Hessische Kammerorchester Frankfurt/Main.
For very many years Choir members have performed with the opera in the Stiftsruine in Bad Hersfeld. The Choir rehearses every Tuesday, except during school holidays, and additionally during an intensive rehearsal weekend each half-year. New Choir members are always welcome.
