The Hessen Youth Film Days have the objective of inspiring as many young people as possible to express themselves via visual media. Young people should learn to occupy themselves with the vocabulary of visual language and develop their own viewpoints in our (excessive) media environment. At the Film Days current productions by children, teenagers and young adults up to 26 years of age form the central theme.
At the end of the Festival a professional jury awards the Youth Film Prize to the value exceeding 7000,- € donated by the City of Frankfurt.
